SWAD in collaboration with CRS, initiated the Emergency response to the cyclonic storm affected 107 village people of eight Gram Panchayats of Mohana block in Gajapati district by the Cyclone Titli severely that hit the entire area of Gajapati on 13th of October 2018. The area of more than 10 hectors agricultural lands were destroyed and 1182 houses partially and 276 houses were fully damaged by the deadly cyclonic storm in the Gram Panchyats of Chandiput, P.Govindapur, Malaspadar, Karchabadi, Adava, Birikote, Antarba and Dangeskhal.
SWAD started the relief operation after the emergence need assessment on 15th October and completed the same on 27th October 2018. The cyclone affected people were provided with shelter kit consisting of one tarpaulin, two mats and one long rope for Partially Damage house and one tarpaulin, two mats, two blankets and a set of wash-cum-sanitation-kit for Fully Damaged houses.
